The green "Verde" wedding
Back in August, we had the pleasure to travel to Boone, North Carolina aside of the Appalachian mountains to shoot a dear friends wedding. The guests were stationed throughout little inns that were apart of the Valle Cruces community. (They even had a dining hall for all the residents, who were summoned for mealtime by a loud bell. So cute!) This small community was the centerfold for all the Green wedding activities. The barefoot bride and groom said their “I do’s” outside of the Apple Barn, where guests received a stamped Frisbee that served as the program. After the gleeful ceremony, dinner was served and the skirt-flowing, knee-slappin’ contra-dancing reception began! Everyone piled into the Apple Barn and contra-danced until the root beer floasts were served, and then contra-danced some more. As long as the fiddle and banjo kept playing, there were couples on the dance floor! Everything about this evening was so reflective of Mr. & Mrs. Green’s adventurous, caring, and lovable personalities.
