These two were such a delight! We met them in their natural surroundings… the great outdoors. Bessie Ann had mentioned that their favorite past times were to go on hikes or to cook together, two very simple but very enduring hobbies. The love that they have for each other was so apparent; shown through Bessie Ann’s sweet glimpses towards John or John consistently letting Bessie Ann know how beautiful she looked. With all the leaves changing into fall colors, it quickly became the perfect backdrop for the new and exciting changes that were happening in Bessie Ann + John lives. We are so excited to follow them on their blissful journey and to capture the love that they have for one another.

Webb to be
Engaged to be Wed!
Let the wedding bells begin to chime, because two of our very good friends are engaged! The two met while attending TCU, starting off as just friends… eventually they began to fall for each other. Rachel and Patrick have lived an old-timey romance. For 365 days, many letters were written from Colorado to Texas and from Texas to Colorado while Rachel was away as an intern for a YoungLife camp in the mountains and Patrick lived down south in Fort Worth. They have such a wonderful and authentic love and friendship that is so apparent through their small, simplistic acts. We are so blessed to be apart of their lives personally and are even more blessed to apart of their wedding process.

The green "Verde" wedding
Back in August, we had the pleasure to travel to Boone, North Carolina aside of the Appalachian mountains to shoot a dear friends wedding. The guests were stationed throughout little inns that were apart of the Valle Cruces community. (They even had a dining hall for all the residents, who were summoned for mealtime by a loud bell. So cute!) This small community was the centerfold for all the Green wedding activities. The barefoot bride and groom said their “I do’s” outside of the Apple Barn, where guests received a stamped Frisbee that served as the program. After the gleeful ceremony, dinner was served and the skirt-flowing, knee-slappin’ contra-dancing reception began! Everyone piled into the Apple Barn and contra-danced until the root beer floasts were served, and then contra-danced some more. As long as the fiddle and banjo kept playing, there were couples on the dance floor! Everything about this evening was so reflective of Mr. & Mrs. Green’s adventurous, caring, and lovable personalities.

The Rickels Cake Fight
This was one of the most lively weddings we have been a part of. Stephanie and Stephen had their wedding barefoot in the sand in front the ocean and then decided to bring the party back to Texas. They are a fun and passionate couple and they were a delight to be around. The reception was simple and filled with joy, laughter, and fun moments to capture of this lively couple! Our favorite moment was when Stephanie and Stephen decided to have a little cake fight of their own at the cutting of the cakes. (Stephanie being the one to initiate this, of course!) It was a very sweet moment that showed just how fun and playful this young couple is. The rest of the night was filled with dancing and laughter and we are so thankful to have been a part of such an entertaining reception.
